E.L.F. Makeup

Hey Folks!

Well I thought I would share one of my favorite secrets with you girls reading this because heck, why not start this blog thing off right? I get asked a lot about what type of makeup I use, and quite frankly it is one of my favorite questions! Here's the reason why - elf makeup is one of my favorite subjects to talk about.

You know that little feeling of dread when you run out of your favorite eyeliner, or suddenly that mascara you love starts getting clumpy? Two thoughts usually run through my head: 1. Shoot, I JUST bought this stuff and 2. Why is makeup so expensive?! That was before...now I only have thought number one going through my head. And right about now you are probably wondering "What in the world is she getting at?" Well, I'm glad you asked - and you will be too when I tell you how incredibly inexpensive and efficient elf makeup is.

My little secret is leaking out; several magazines are picking up the elf line in their "Great Ideas" section. I'm ok with that because after all, it IS a secret worth sharing. Here is one quote I completely agree with:

"The studio eye cream...sheer genius." - Real Simple

As a former make up consultant I have to tell you, this makeup line is a novelty. I have never seen any brand work so well for such a reasonable price. Their mineral line rivals Bare Minerals easily, but for a third of the price. My favorite mineral eye shadows look and feel just like the top designer brands - but instead of paying $24.99 for one container, how does $3 sound? Or what about paying $20 for a complete mineral foundation starter kit  instead of $60 for a "name brand" one? Yeah, go ahead, let your mouth hit the floor in complete awe -- no really, it's ok I did that too.

Now you all know one thing I'm passionate about - makeup; but more specifically, elf makeup. Who couldn't love such an incredible line with college-student-friendly prices?? Hope you gals take as much advantage of this line as I have, they're worth it!
